The client required a surveillance system for a single site combining reliable continuous recording with motion-triggered event capture — providing both live monitoring and an adequate footage archive for incident review. No existing IP-based CCTV infrastructure was in place, meaning the engagement covered full supply, cabling, configuration, and commissioning from scratch. Two known gaps were identified and documented at the outset: the site lacked a conduit path for direct office-area camera coverage, and internet connectivity for remote viewing was not yet in place at the time of installation. Both were formally noted in the scope and flagged for post-handover action.

The Intervention

Nine One Two Holdings specified and deployed a Tiandy 8-channel IP NVR as the recording and management hub — providing headroom to expand from the initial camera count to a full 8 channels without replacing the core hardware. Three 2-megapixel IP cameras with 3.6 mm lenses were installed across the site, covering the key areas identified during the site walk. Cabling was run using CAT6 outdoor-rated Ethernet, suitable for both indoor and external camera positions.

Storage was provisioned with a surveillance-grade hard disk. The system was configured in Continuous + Motion Detection recording mode, ensuring uninterrupted coverage while flagging motion events for faster incident review. Network mode was set up as IP-based, with remote viewing pre-configured to activate once internet was connected at the site. All hardware was tested and verified by 912 engineers prior to handover. A formal handover report was issued documenting the complete system specification and configuration parameters — with a security advisory issued recommending immediate credential rotation post-handover.

The system was formally handed over on 29 January 2026 following successful installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning. At handover the client had a fully operational 8-channel IP NVR with 3 active camera feeds running in continuous and motion-detection mode, surveillance-grade storage, and CAT6 outdoor cabling infrastructure in place. Post-handover recommendations covered internet connectivity for remote viewing, a conduit path for the office-facing camera, and a biannual maintenance schedule to maintain system integrity over time.
